If you notice the title, yes, this is the last blog post for this class. How fast time flies, we actually at the end of the semester already. Yes, we are so busy at the moment with the last assignments presentation, thesis writing, preparation for our fyp project seminar, viva and so on. But task must go on. Tenth blog post it is!



We also finished our class with Dr Fareed last Tuesday. It was so sad and excited at the same time. The sad part is that we are actually finished with all of our 7 semesters, only left with the internship. The excited part is of course, finally we are going to graduate. I can't believe how my 4 years Bachelors studies went by so fast. Not denying the struggles, ups and downs, definitely felt all that. But as the time passed by, all the pains also washed away just like that. (can't believe I'm getting emotional while typing this blog post)



Forget the emotional part, let's start with our main agenda for today. Okay if you still remember on last blog post I mentioned that for this lab session, we are going to do a live streaming for the Product Innovation Day for the Food Service students.

Assalamualaikum and Hi..



So, for this lab session, there are a lot of things that we did. Firstly, about the website peer-evaluation. We did a google form for the rest of our classmates to evaluate our website. For example, does it looks good, does it functions well and so on. We posted the link of the google form at the FoodIS_UPM group in Facebook so that everybody can access to it easily.

For this session, we learnt on how to create a google form, how to edit it, how to put pictures, and many more until we can actually create our own google form.

For this blog post, of course I'm going to update what I've learnt for the past few weeks lab's session again. This lab session started with the submission of the online CV that we had done using the wix.com. But of course we didn't complete the CV so Dr Fareed gave us a few minutes to at least fill in the crucial informations. Luckily, I managed to complete all of the informations in my CV.





Next, Dr Fareed asked us to register for the EventBrite to get the ticket for the eCommerce Day on 9&10 December 2019 which will be held at Menara MITI, Kuala Lumpur.


After that, we proceeded our lab session with the excel learning process. Honestly, I am so poor in excel, actually not that poor but I didn't know the advanced function of it. So the excel learning process took about one hour and a half if I'm not mistaken, because we did a lot of activities together. The excel worksheet were then submitted to the Putrablast.


So that's it for that lab session. Basically there's not much going on because we spent a lot of time doing the excel activities. Until the next post. See you!

Assalamualaikum, whats up guys.





Every Wednesday is our lab day. So for the last Wednesday on 13th November 2019, we learnt new things again!


First thing first, we learnt about Wikipedia and officially have our own Wiki account. Wikipedia is actually an online encyclopedia where everyone can edit the articles all they want according to their knowledge and findings.


The next thing is about Google Digital Garage. Do you still remember my first ever blog post that I talked about GDG? So today actually a big day for me where I actually finished all the modules and got certified by Google!

First of all I'm glad that we made it through the hectic weeks. Second, I would like to apologize since my last blog posts are mainly about the website again and again.. I just want to express our efforts and hard works to complete that website project.


So for this blog post, I want to share about new things that I learnt from my last lab session with Dr. Fareed on 6th November 2019.


I actually learnt a lot of new things in the lab session. Too many that even my brain cannot catch up with them. I can only listed a few that I still remember (trust me, it's too many).


So for the first thing is Alibaba.com . We officially have Alibaba's account now yay. So what is Alibaba.com? Basically Alibaba is just the same thing as Carousell, Ebay and many more where we can actually sell anything that we want and make money from it. Yes of course I don't have any idea what to sell now, but even Dr. Fareed also said that it's okay if we didn't feel like selling anything now, but sooner or later we might have the idea to sell something.


After that, I learnt on how to make my own schedule using Google Calendar. That is something new to me as I am not that kind of person who will explore something new on Google and what not. So it's kind of interesting to learn new features.


We also learnt about Google Drive where we can actually use it as our back up application to store important things. It is indeed very useful as you know, laptop and pc might broke someday and we might lost everything that we treasure the most. So, in order to avoid that we store our precious things on Google Drive.

This is the day ! The day that we will actually presented our hard works for a few weeks now. On 23rd October 2019, the website presentation began.

After we decided to choose Moknab Nasi Kukus Daun Pisang as our website project's client on 16th October 2019, we started contacting them and guess what?


THEY AGREED TO BE OUR CLIENT WITH JUST ONE TRY!


We definitely witnessed our fellow classmates from other groups being rejected by their shortlisted companies, having difficulties here and there, the companies aren't interested and so on. But, Alhamdulillah our jobs were simplified, within one try, the company agreed.


So without hesitation, we set an appointment with the owner to actually brief to him what was this website project about, our objectives, what are we going to do, what do we want them to do, and what are the benefits that they will gain from this website project.


After that, we started with our first draft for the website. We totally worked our sweats out to create and edit the website. It was definitely exhausting as it was so hard to actually edited every single-tiny-little things on the website starting from the simplest thing as the font colour, font sizes to the complicated one such as the animated pictures and pop up link address.


We presented our first website draft to the owner of the company and he actually liked it. I must say that he is the most easy person to deal with as he obviously not a nit-picker. He just follow the flow and just leave it to us. Even if we asked for his own personal ideas on what he wanted to be put in that website, he just simply said "I don't really know about such things, to me what you did is already beautiful and I like it"


We were so relieved when the owner said that to us. So we just interviewed him a few questions to be presented on the website. We continued with the editing as we need to present the complete website on the upcoming week in front of Dr. Fareed, the company owner and fellow classmates.


It was so nerve-wrecking !

So, from my previous blog post I did mentioned about our task on creating a website to the chosen food company.


We already shortlisted a few food companies based on our own personal preferences. Basically we choose the company that we already familiar with so at least we acknowledge their hidden potentials. Our next step was, presented our shortlisted companies on 9th October 2019 to Dr. Fareed.


Among all the shortlisted companies, the company that managed to capture our heart the most was Moknab Nasi Kukus Daun Pisang which located at Seksyen 9, Bandar Baru Bangi.


The reason why we choose that company was from our own experience visited there as customers and tried their foods. We immediately fell in love with their Kelantanese cuisine which taste so authentic and delicious. Their food portion is enormous and their prices are affordable. From that day, we already knew that company is the one.


So we started our first move by contacting the owner of that company. What are their reactions? Did they accept our invitation to be our client? Stay tune !

This is my second update for the subject FSM4401 Information System in Food Industry. This blog post supposedly being publish on 2nd October 2019, but unfortunately I couldn't catch up with the blog since we were so busy at that time with the company website and so on.


So here is what we did on 2nd October. Dr Fareed instructed us to create a website to the chosen food company on our liking. So first thing first, we shortlisted a few companies to be approached by our group. Oh yes, our group name is Biggeaters which consists of 4 members and they are Sabiha, Aliya, Fathiah and me.


From our list, we did a research about the company background, what are their business about, what are they selling, also where is their company located. Basically, in order to make things easier for us, we choose the company that is located within our range in Serdang so that we can go back and forth from UPM to the company location easily.


So did we managed to approach the shortlisted companies? Which company successfully became our 'the-choosen-one-client' ? Find out soon in my next blog update!

Assalamualaikum and Hello people!



Finally I get to at least write a little something in this blog after so long. Of course, Im not sick. This first entry in 2019 is dedicated to Dr Fareed Ismail (of course) for the class FSM4401 Information System in Food Industry which I will be evaluated for the 10% marks through this blog.


But first of all, Alhamdulillah for the recovery of the environment from a very bad haze for the past few weeks. Fresh air finally, but not really. Soon I guess.


So, back to our main topic, also the reason behind my write up after 2 years is that today I've learnt about a lot of things in the FoodCyber or Computer Lab to be exact and Dr Fareed want me (and the other student in the class) to write our honest opinions on today's learning.


Honestly, Im not that good in social medias or IT. So I guess this course gonna helps me a lot with that. For instance, today for the 3 hours lab sessions, we already learnt about blogger (which I already been blogging since 2012, I guess). Besides that, the new thing that I learnt was wix.com where we can create our own FREE website there and I already created mine which I will show it to you guys shortly. Not forgetting the Google Digital Garage, where we can grow our digital knowledge and will obtain a certificate from Google once we finish the required modules.



So that's all for this post. I'll leave you guys with my progresses.
